About the Finance Committee
The purpose of the Finance Committee is to review the annual budget and quarterly financial reports, to carry out financial and economic studies at the request of the City Council, to assist the City Manager and City staff as a Committee or as individuals in finance or economic related projects, and to review the annual audited financial statements and the City’s investment policy. The Committee also researches and reports on financial issues of interest to the City Council. The Committee is composed of nine voting members who serve three-year staggered terms and are limited to serving two consecutive terms. At least eight Committee members must be residents of Del Mar.
