Are You Ready for the El Niño Storms?

With the expected arrival of the El Niño weather pattern, we want to be sure that residents are prepared for the impending storms. The City has launched an El Niño web page to provide information about what residents can do to be ready and what the City is doing to prepare.

The El Niño weather pattern is expected to hit San Diego County in late December this year or early January next year. The series of storms are expected to be of a magnitude never seen before and will result in heavy rainfall. This could create mudslides, prolonged power outages, and dangerous driving conditions.
