Conservancy asks to watch for unpermitted fishing The San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy is asking visitors to Riverpath Del Mar to report fishing at unpermitted areas to State authorities.
Fishing from Grand Avenue Bridge is not allowed. Just east of the structure, along 30 yards of shoreline, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife allows fishing. The area, which is marked with CDFW signs, closes to fishing from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
In all other areas east of Jimmy Durante Boulevard, fishing is prohibited.
Discarded fishing line can harm wildlife. Visitors are asked to report abandoned gear, unsafe conditions, or misuse of the area to CDFW's 24-hour CALTIP phone line, 888-334-CALTIP (2258), or by texting a message to 847411. Download the free CALTIP app to submit anonymous tips.

City seeks participation in ADU surveyHave you completed Del Mar's ADU survey?
The brief, online survey asks respondents whether they're interested in building an accessory dwelling unit on their property and, if so, what would it take for them to agree to rent the unit to low-income tenants.
As part of its State-certified Housing Element, Del Mar has set a goal of creating 15 ADUs for low-income households by April 2029. The survey is designed to help the City meet that goal.
The survey closes May 28. Open survey

- Purchase plants, produce, seeds or other natural materials from local, licensed nurseries and retailers; and
- Inspect your homegrown produce for signs of invasive fruit flies or maggots. Report anything suspicious to the CDFA Pest Hotline: 800-491-1899.
