Plans and Reports

Background

The Del Mar Clean Water Program implements several management plans to enhance the quality of our lagoons, beaches, and Pacific Ocean surface waters. See below for more information on plans and reports.

JRMP (Jurisdictional Runoff Management Program)

A JRMP is a set of policies and procedures designed to prevent stormwater pollutants from entering the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4). These guidelines are regularly updated to address emerging challenges and to ensure that stormwater management practices effectively protect local water quality and comply with regulatory standards.

WQIP (Water Quality Improvement Plan)

A WQIP outlines strategies and actions tailored to address specific water quality challenges within each watershed. They are developed to track the progress of strategies, evaluate effectiveness, and update the community on ongoing efforts. The City of Del Mar is part of two watersheds: San Dieguito and Los Peñasquitos.
