Sculptures are installed and plotted on art map
The Temporary Outdoor Sculpture Program Phase II has opened with five works in downtown Del Mar and a map that charts a one-mile art stroll.
The sculptures, artists, and locations of the works, are:
- “Red Seeker” by Delos Van Earl (NW corner of 15th Street and Camino Del Mar);
- “Split Head” by Ron Tatro (SE corner of 15th Street and Stratford Court);
- “Planar Head” by Ron Tatro (SE corner of 14th Street and Camino Del Mar);
- “Cloud 7” by Peter Mitten (SE corner of 12th Street and Camino Del Mar); and
- “Dirección Impredecible” by Hugo Heredia (NE corner of 9th Street and Camino Del Mar).
The pieces encompass an array of iron and glass, some of it patina-coated and some of it brilliant with color. They will remain on display for up to 23 months.
The Del Mar Foundation is underwriting the cost of the program. All sculptures are for sale. Visit the Del Mar Foundation's webpage for details.
